Hurricanne Ike...wow. I was at the hospital for all of the storm. We have 2 teams, the ride out team and the recovery team. I am on the ride out team which meant that I went in on Friday morning at 7am and did not leave the hospital at all until Sunday morning at 9am. Longest shift of my life. We weren't too busy. We delivered a lot of babies before and after the storm and are expecting a huge baby boom nine months from Ike. David and the girls along with my parents stayed at Ben and Trudy's house in Imperial Oaks. Everyone was safe thru the storm. Thank God my parents were not at home. A huge oak tree fell on their house and pretty much ripped it in half. God was watching over us all. My parents are still living at Ben's and will be there until their house is completed in Jan. Our house backs up to spring creek. The creek crested shortly after the storm and this is the result of that--2 days of rowing to and from the house. It flooded the garage but luckily did not get in the house. We were without power for 16days but overall we were very blessed.
